Ashley and Tim United in Love
Tim and Ashley tied the knot at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Tim (a United State Marine) met Ashley as her first husband (also a Marine) passed away. They had served together and Tim took it upon himself to make sure his friend’s wife and children were taken care of. Months passed, an occasional phone call or visit to check in on the family, developed into a friendship and later into a heart-felt romance.
So there, with her son dressed like a little Marine and daughter, like a princess, Ashley and Tim united in marriage to make this family whole again and two hearts as one.
When we were putting together their ceremony, I gave them a homework assignment: To write and tell me why they love each other. Tim really got into the assignment and wrote “Why Do I Love Ashley…. this is the easiest question I’ve ever been asked.
After 10 years of war, Ashley brought me peace. She brought me joy, purpose, but more importantly, she showed me true love. She is the very definition of unconditional love. She, Savannah and Max, have made life rewarding beyond measure. She has backed every spoken word with selfless action; all because she truly loves and respects me. For years I often questioned my faith while pondering God’s existence and plans, but Ashley coming into my life cemented my absolute belief and trust in God’s plan.
There is, to our knowledge, over 7 billion people on this planet and yet there is only one Ashley Broady. One can only be so blessed to have her in their life. We have endured more in our first two years together than most couples endure within a life time, and we never ever fought along the way. It only strengthened our bond. She is my “perfectly imperfect” and I look forward to spending every moment I have left with her.”
Lisa Smith with Disney Fairytale Weddings was the coordinator. The amazing blush colored roses covered the aisle, the pews, and the alter table and were designed by the Walt Disney World Florist. Ashley’s cousin, Kelsey sang “Love Me Tender” as the couple lighted their unity candle.
Rev.Glynn Ferguson with Sensational Ceremonies created a custom ceremony, with their homework inserted just before the vows. The ceremony was filled with both laughter and tears as the couple spoke their vows to each other.
