Diana and John
Diana and John chose the Sandbar Restaurant on Anna Maria Island as the venue for their wedding ceremony and reception.
Anna Maria Island is a charming barrier island just south of Tampa Bay on Florida’s famous Gulf Coast. Visitors will find superb sunsets, temperate sub-tropical weather, sunshine and a friendly informal atmosphere. Seven and a half miles of gorgeous white sand beach stretches the full length of the island – the perfect place to watch the spectacular sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.
The Sandbar Restaurant has been serving customers for generations, and is a place to experience a meal and view a sunset like no other. As a wedding venue, the Sandbar Pavilion is tucked among the sea oats and native grasses with the waters of the Gulf of Mexico as its backdrop; and offers a secret slice of sugar-sand beach. It is perfect for a romantic wedding ceremony and reception as is truly a one-of-a-kind venue.
Diana looked gorgeous in her wedding gown as she was escorted across the sand by her father, to join John in front of their wedding arch. The couples’ custom designed wedding ceremony included words about Love, Friendship, Loyalty, Fidelity and Trust; The Blessing of the Hands, The Lasso Ceremony and a Sand Ceremony. Then, as their family and friends looked on, and with an amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico as their backdrop, the couple shared their vows, exchanged rings and were pronounced husband and wife by Rev Rick Lackore of Sensational Ceremonies.
Special thanks to Paul, with Chi Photography for providing this beautiful picture during their ceremony.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. John Hilker!
