Iris and James

Iris and James live in Kansas, but they wanted to have their elopement ceremony on the beach at the end of May, so they contacted the resort staff at the JW Marriott Resort and Spa on Clearwater Beach to coordinate all the details.

Restaurants on site include Latitude 28 specializing in fresh Florida-focused cuisine with Mediterranean influences, local favorites at ESKaPe Beach Bar & Grille and panoramic views at the rooftop restaurant and bar, The Deep End. With over 17,000 sq. ft. of event space, and an idyllic beachfront location, the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach is a resort like no other. Their exclusive beach lends ample opportunity for private beachfront events with views of the Gulf of Mexico and the award-winning sunsets known to Clearwater Beach, which is the perfect backdrop to say, “I do.” This was the perfect location for Iris and James to tie the knot.

Iris was escorted across the sand by her son to join James in front of their wedding arch. The custom designed ceremony for Iris and James included The Blessing of the Hands. Then, in front of their adult children, and with an amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico as their backdrop, the couple shared their vows, exchanged rings and were pronounced husband and wife by Rev Rick Lackore of Sensational Ceremonies.
