Kayla and Dan
Even though Kayla and Dan were a world apart, they met while live streaming on twitch. Kayla, a YouTuber and Dan met while actively live streaming on the platform and were introduced by mutual friends. What started off as a connection through friends became romance and the rest of history.
After trying a long distance dating relationship between England and the United States they took the step of Dan moving over on a fiancé visa to get married. The couple had a courthouse wedding first and then after a few years, they decided that they wanted the big celebration with their family and friends.
Kayla and Dan contacted Kelsey with Simply Enchanted Events and she helped them find the perfect location and an amazing team of vendors to make their wedding dreams come true.
With the historic Capen House as the centerpiece for their wedding celebration it was the perfect place for the couple to tie the knot
Sydney Morgan Photography make sure to capture every moment of kayla and Dan’s wedding day from getting ready photos at the Alfond Inn to the bridal party, walking down the aisle, through the ceremony and into the reception.
Classern Quartet provided the instrumental music for the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour while White Rose Entertainment provided the music for the reception and kept the dance floor full throughout the night.
Bluegrass Chic created a beautiful flower arrangements for the ceremony space, the reception, and the florals for Kayla and Dan.
Rev. Glynn Ferguson, the owner of Sensational Ceremonies, worked with Kayla and Dan to create a beautiful custom ceremony that fit the two of them perfectly. He gave them a homework assignment to write and tell him why they love each other.
Kayla wrote: Dan is my best friend. I knew from the moment that we met that he was special, and he continues to prove that every single day. To me, Dan is home. He is kind, caring, and thoughtful. He makes me feel safe and calm. He knows how to make me laugh. I love that we have so much in common, and I love getting to share our hobbies and our passions. We read together every night before bed, each bundled up with our Kindles. I cherish those quiet moments – just existing together. I’ve managed to turn him into a cat lady, and we now have three cats together that are the center of our world. My childhood cat, Snap, is 16 now and has grown up with me. She loved Dan from the moment she first met him, and I like to think that she’s adopted him. I’ve always thought she was a great judge of character. Our other two cats are rescues that I found in a sewer a couple years ago. Not many people would jump at the chance to rescue a sewer cat, and I’m so glad to have found a person who is on the same page as me with all of these wild life decisions. I love that he’s so great with animals, and especially great with our cats. I love that we get to work together, and doing what I do would be impossible without him. We run my YouTube channel as a team, and he edits all of my videos. He’s my partner in every way – partner in life, work, joy, crime. I can’t imagine life without him
Dan wrote: Kayla is my best friend, we know each other more than anyone possibly could, Kayla helps me be the best person I can be. A part of her influence on me is how she got me into reading. Kayla loves her hobbies, she read over 100 books last year and has decided that the start of this year meant a start of a new hobby… She is now the proud owner of a brand new sewing machine and has made half of a tote bag!!! Kayla has introduced me to so many new interests, and also embraces my own, and so often they overlap.
She cares so deeply about the people she loves, and that includes her love and adoration of our cat Sunny, Shrimp, and the oldest, Snap.
I love how hard working Kayla is, her work ethic is so impressive. She gives so much of herself spreading joy and kindness into the world, fundraising for charity, raising awareness for important social issues. She’s a person you can rely on, a person that will always offer her help before you even ask for it.
We want to wish Kayla and Dan their very happily ever after.
