Sarah and Nathan

Sarah and Nathan traveled from Ireland for a vacation and the opportunity to get married in Orlando ,Florida at Paradise Cove. On a beautiful sunny day the couple walk the aisle exchanged vowels and rings and became husband and wife. Paradise Cove is situated on Lake Bryan right in the heart of the tourist area and just across the street from Walt Disney World.

Todd and Kristin with KMD Photo and film were there to capture every moment of the couples wedding day. From Sarah, slipping into her wedding dress to her walk down the aisle to meet her prince charming and then their first kiss his husband, wife captured it all.

Blossoms Orlando created the beautiful bouquet and boutonniere that the bride carried and the groom wore. The pastel colors look absolutely beautiful against Nathan‘s light blue suit and Sarah‘s sparkly wedding dress.

Rev. Glynn Ferguson, one of a handful of official Walt Disney World wedding officiant and the owner of Sensational Ceremonies, worked with Sarah and Nathan to create a beautiful custom ceremony that fit the two of them like Mickey’s glove.
He gave them a homework assignment to write and tell him why they love each other.

Sarah wrote:  Nathan will go out of his way to make me happy,  even by letting us get married in Florida, have a completely Disney focused honeymoon, including a Disney Cruise which definitely wasn’t his first choice as he has a fear of deep water,  but then I am subjecting myself to Halloween Horror nights for him and I am the biggest scaredy cat.  So we already learning married life is about compromise and sacrifice haha.

Nathan is also the most terrific father.  He shares custody of Holly with her Mum so well and I am always in awe of him.  Yes there are tantrums and meltdowns but how Nathan carries himself after these events is what lets me know that if we are blessed to have anymore children he will be the best Dad.  We both came from families where we were loved, but it wasn’t always made known, where maybe things were brushed under the carpet or the silent treatment was the only way to resolve a fight.  Nathan and I can still be guilty of some of these traits we have been taught but we are aware and getting better and better each time to resolve an issue.  In fact, it is nearly always Nathan who is able to draw my feelings out and I am so grateful to him for that.

Lastly, I grew up with Disney, I had been to the parks many times as a child, seen every film,  knew every song and story of my favourite princesses off by heart.  I had been told so many times not to believe in fairytales and princes.  But when I think about when I graduated University and what I wanted out of my life, what kind of man I would marry, I find it very hard to argue that Nathan was my dream man all along.  I was just naïve and scared at 21 and I would not let myself see it.  I sometimes regret how I acted back then but we wouldn’t have Holly, we wouldn’t have grown up individually and become the people we are now.  I think about what I wanted out of life back then and when I look at my life now, I have it.  A loving husband to be, a beautiful step daughter,  a lovely home in a good area, 2 cars, a dog, thriving careers and dream wedding.  I have it all, I have the fairytale and most important I have my prince, as cliché as that is.

Nathan wrote:  I know that Sarah has already filled you in about our backstory but i just wanted to follow on from that by saying that when we were together all those years ago, i never thought that i could love her anymore than i already did but i absolutely love her so much more now and that love is growing everyday.

When she came back into my life again, i felt like i was the luckiest guy alive and i knew that this time i was never going to let her go. It’s probably cliché to say that we’re soulmates but i’ve never had anyone make me feel the way that Sarah does, she feels like home no matter where we are and she immediately brightens up my darkest days.

I can proudly say that she’s my best friend and i can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.

Fairytales can come true if you follow your heart. Congratulations Sarah and Nathan. We wish you a happiness that will last a lifetime.
