Imagineering Ever After: Ryan & Whitney Tie the Knot at Disney World!
Calling all lovebirds with a sprinkle of pixie dust! Ryan and Whitney ‘s Disney World wedding is pure #relationshipgoals for any couple who met amidst the magic. These two Imagineers (aka the creative minds behind Disney!) fell head over heels in a post-Covid workshop, and their wedding was a fairytale come true.
A Disney Dream Wedding:
Instead of a traditional ceremony hall, Ryan and Whitney chose the iconic Walt Disney World Wedding Pavilion – right on the sparkly Seven Seas Lagoon! Imagine saying “I do” with Cinderella’s Castle shimmering in the background – talk about a magical backdrop! Brooke from Disney’s Fairytale Weddings helped them plan every detail, ensuring Ryan and Whitney had their special evening it was as enchanting as a Disney movie.
Making Magic Happen:
The ceremony took place in the early evening, when the sky takes on that magical blue hue with golden touches from the setting sun behind the castle. It was pure fairytale bliss! The amazing team at Fairytales and Wedding Bells ensured everything ran smoothly, from coordinating the day’s flow to setting up gorgeous décor that perfectly captured their Disney love story.
Capturing Every Memory:
Amy from Disney Fine Art Photography and Skyler from Perfect Sky Productions documented the entire day – from the pre-wedding jitters (and excitement!) to the first look, the heartwarming ceremony, and the celebratory photos afterward. It was a marathon day for the photo and video crew, but they kept things fun and light, making sure Ryan and Whitney felt like stars on their big day.
A Ceremony Fit for a Prince & Princess:
Rev. Glynn Ferguson, a Disney wedding officiant extraordinaire and owner of Sensational Ceremonies , crafted a beautiful, personalized ceremony for Ryan and Whitney. To make it extra special, he gave them a unique homework assignment – to write down why they love each other. Here’s a peek at their heartfelt vows:
Ryan wrote: My love, I wanted to let you know today – the day we begin the rest of our lives together – that I am fascinated by you. My life changed in all the best ways on March 8, 2021 when we locked eyes for the first time through face shields and covid masks in that oh-so-romantic, windowless, concrete warehouse in Davenport, FL.
I am the luckiest man in the world to have the privilege of waking up every morning (before you, obviously ) and watching those same big, brown, fiery eyes sparkle to life.
We are true partners that workshop problems together, seek each other out for advice, communicate openly and most importantly: respect and trust each other.
I love that you are always open to new perspectives and have the patience to deal with me when I am hardheaded. I love that your moral compass is unwavering and always points toward fairness, empathy and justness. If the world were filled with Whitney’s it would be a much better place, but that is impossible because you are one of a kind.
You have taught me the true meaning of love by setting perfect examples over and over again (like being the best mommy to our sweet fur baby, Silvie [aka Girl]). You have shown me what it means to be all-in with someone, ride or die, partners for life! I love you beyond infinity!
Whitney wrote: I couldn’t be happier to say that I’m truly marrying my best friend and life partner today! Although we were perhaps initially an unlikely couple on paper, our connection upon meeting was immediate and undeniable. I’ll never forget instantly feeling how easily we could understand each other in just a few words, almost to what felt like mind-reading. (We like to say that we’re “entangled”.) We share the same goals, ambition, and sense of adventure. At the same time, he’s shown me there’s more to life, self-worth, and happiness than solely pursuing your career dreams or how productive you can be (even though there is of course still great value to those things). He daily challenges me to stand up for myself and use my voice. He gives me courage to try new things. We compliment each other – he dares me to question the rules, & I dare him to follow a few (haha!). Ryan has truly shown me a whole new world.
I’m most deeply in love with his willingness to put in the work for us to both grow together. I’m so proud of the man he’s becoming, and to become his wife. I’ve never been more certain of anything than I am, that we are “meant to be”.
