Deshon wrote: It was easy to fall in love with her, she is the sweetest girl I have ever met. I met her in a time when it felt very lonely living in the UK, I had friends but felt out of place as they were all only interested in partying and music. I had given up on trying to meet people but as soon as we met after the first date, we both knew that we had something special. We grew up similarly as we both lived as expats in the same years/age ranges. She was also different to them in that we had similar interests and experiences that we could talk about forever. I never had a social battery with her, she became my best friend. Over the months of being together and laughing all night long I fell in love with her, and she felt the same way. She helped make the UK feel like home, I wasn’t lonely anymore. It was and still is an incredible feeling to have someone that I know I can rely on and who truly cares for and loves me. Over the years she has made me a better person and my love for her has strengthened. The long distance has been very difficult and quite depressing, but she has become my comfort, I think of her and all of the things she does for me and it picks me up. I know that there is no one else for me and I’m thankful I found her.
Becky wrote: I love how he is my best friend and it has been that way from the beginning, an easiness and straight away taking care of each other. I love our little similarities that connect us and finding more and more of those amongst how different we are and also how our differences balance each other and make me smile. He is so sure and strong minded with so many abilities and hobbies and he makes everything a little adventure to go on even if it’s just late-night McDonald’s or a trip to a supermarket snack section. I know we will be having fun and looking out for each other in even the smallest ways forever
We want to wish this very sweet couple all the happiness that the world can give them.
