A Star Wars Wedding
A Star Wars Love Story
Joshua and Felicia met in high school in Ohio and that encounter led them to love. Looking for the perfect tropical escape for their destination wedding they contacted Intimate Weddings of Orlando for assistance. After emailing with Victoria they chose Sunset Key, the private island at Westgate Lakes Resort, in Orlando.
With the help of Amanda, Felicia’s mother, there were no details were spared in making sure their wedding day was beautiful and unique. Amanda wanted to make sure that Joshua had a few surprises on their wedding day. Since Joshua is a super Star Wars fan, Amanda contacted the 501 Legion and they sent out a few Stormtroopers to make sure everything went according to the Empire.
Jennie Rudberg with Orlando Violin Music knew the tastes of the bride and groom and set out to perform several selections from the various Star Wars movies.
Rev.Glynn Ferguson of Sensational Ceremonies worked with the couples to create a custom ceremony. He gave them a homework assignment to write and tell him why they love each other. Felicia wrote:I knew Josh was the one basically from the beginning. He’s always been there too keep a level head on my shoulders when things get rough. I feel safe when I’m with him. I can’t help but admire his motivation and the fact that he will do anything he sets his mind too. I want him to know all the long shifts at work and all the extras he does to provide for us is deeply appreciated and words can’t describe how much I love him for everything he does. I would be lost in this world without Josh and I hope he knows that.
Joshua wrote: Felicia is truly a wondrous person to be around. She is motivated, bubbly, organized, persistent, I could make a list, but that’s not what this is about. This is about our future, and how excited I am to include her in it. I love her for her personality, her willingness to work with me and my expensive hobbies (cars and bikes), her attentiveness to my interests, and much much more. I love her gorgeous smile, her understanding eyes, the warmth of happiness I get to experience every single day when I’m within her presence. I can say I could never see myself to have such a commitment with anyone else. Nearing seven years and not one moment has been disappointing, even if it proved challenging. I love her more than words can describe, but if I had to choose some, this paragraph is how I would do so.
Flowers by Lesley crated beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages of blush colored roses, for the wedding party and families. They included rose petals for the aisle to make the ceremony site under the tiki roof look beautiful.
Smith with Snap Photography captured everything that day. Arriving early and staying a little longer, Chris caught the Stormtroopers entrance, the arrival of the Bride, the ceremony, and family photographs afterward.
