Eric and Shannon
Eric and Shannon met online and immediately fell in love. This cyber security analyst and third grade teacher met through a dating app and realized right away that things were going in the right direction. After dating for a while, a couple decided to get married and what better place to do that than in Orlando, Florida.
The couple chose Paradise Cove. Paradise Cove is situated just across interstate four from the Walt Disney World resorts and located on the beautiful Lake Bryan. With towering bald cypress trees and swaying Spanish moss overhead it was the perfect location for the two of them to tie the knot.
KMD Photo and Film was there to make sure that every moment of the wedding day for Eric and Shannon was captured. From the pinning on of the boutonniere to Shannon putting on those final touches, the trip down the aisle to the ceremony and the first kiss. KMD captured it all.
Blossoms Orlando did an incredible job of creating the absolutely stunning bouquet that Shannon carried. Creamy long, white stem roses made up the bouquet while smaller roses filled the grooms boutonniere.
Rev Glynn Ferguson, the owner of Sensational Ceremonies and one of the official Walt Disney World wedding officiant, created a beautiful custom ceremony for the two of them. It focused on their faith as Christians and talked about a covenant marriage. He also gave the two of them, my homework assignment, to write and tell him why they love each other.
Eric wrote: “I fell in love with Shannon the moment I saw her. I walked around the corner of that coffee shop, and before we even spoke a word, I felt this overwhelming sense of peace and nervousness—like somehow I already knew she was going to change my life. That feeling only grew as I got to know her. Shannon has this creative, visionary spirit that inspires everyone around her. She doesn’t just see the world as it is—she sees what it can be and goes after it without hesitation. She’s brave, always eager for the next adventure, and she meets every challenge head-on.
Shannon wrote: I don’t even know where to begin because words can never truly capture what he means to me. He has this amazing ability to calm me when I’m spiraling, when I’m stressed or upset—he just knows exactly what to say to make everything feel okay. It’s like we have this quiet understanding, this deep connection where we’re not just partners, but we are a team in every sense of the word. But what really makes me love him beyond measure is how much he loves not only me, but Nora too. He didn’t have to step up the way he did, but he did, and he loves her like his own. I’ll never be able to fully express how much that means to me. He’s not just my best friend, my soulmate—he’s everything I never knew I needed. And the way he’s stepped in to fix a heart he didn’t break? It’s nothing short of beautiful. His patience, his grace, his unwavering support—it’s a love I never thought I’d experience. I love him more than I ever thought was possible. Every single day, I’m in awe of the man he is.
