Traveling all the way from Tulsa, Oklahoma, this vibrant couple decided to transform their favorite vacation spot into the ultimate destination wedding location.
A Ceremony Above the Water
To bring their vision to life, the couple teamed up with Victoria from Intimate Weddings of Orlando. After exploring several enchanting options, they fell in love with the Paddlefish package at Disney Springs. High atop the iconic steamboat, three stories above the shimmering waters of Village Lake, Laura and Jacob exchanged rings and whispered their “I dos” against a breathtaking panoramic backdrop.
Magical Floral Details
No Disney-inspired wedding is complete without a touch of “pixie dust.” The talented team at Raining Roses Productions designed a stunning bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere. The arrangement featured a cascade of snowy white roses in varying sizes. In a delightful nod to their surroundings, the designers tucked a tiny, bejeweled Mickey Mouse hidden deep within one of the blooms—a perfect “hidden Mickey” for their special day.
Vows from the Heart
Rev. Glynn Ferguson, owner of Sensational Ceremonies and a premier Orlando wedding officiant, helped the couple craft a bespoke wedding ceremony that moved everyone to tears. He invited them to share exactly why they fell in love, and their words were a testament to resilience and devotion.
Laura shared a touching tribute to Jacob’s strength, noting how he stood by her as a friend during her darkest days of grief after losing her late husband. “As I came out of that fog, Jacob was standing there,” she wrote, praising his patience and the way he honors her sons’ need to keep their father’s memory alive.
Jacob’s words were equally powerful, highlighting Laura’s “childlike enthusiasm” for life and her incredible capacity to love. He spoke of her obsession with all things Disney and her beauty, both inside and out, promising a love that “thrives from now till forever.”
