Melvin and Makari

A Romantic Hill Country Wedding at the Howey Mansion

Melvin and Makari traveled from Louisville to Central Florida for a beautiful Hill Country wedding at the historic Howey Mansion in Howey in the Hills, Florida. Surrounded by timeless architecture, gorgeous gardens, and romantic Florida scenery, their wedding day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Built in 1925, the Howey Mansion sits in the heart of what was once Mr. Howey’s vast citrus empire. His influence on the community was so significant that the town itself was eventually named after him. Today, this historic Florida wedding venue provides a stunning setting for couples looking for a romantic and memorable destination wedding.

The couple worked with Sophia from Blush by Brandee Gaar, who helped bring together an incredible team of award-winning wedding vendors. Sophia went above and beyond to make sure every detail was carefully planned, allowing Melvin and Makari to relax and enjoy their special day.

In Bloom Florist created gorgeous floral arrangements for the bridesmaids, parents, and gentlemen. The couple also had the honor of standing beneath a beautiful broken floral arch that framed them perfectly throughout their wedding ceremony and created a stunning backdrop for their wedding photos.

Alex Michelle Photo worked her photography magic throughout the entire celebration. From getting ready with the bridal party to the emotional ceremony and joyful reception, Alex captured all the special moments. Working hand in hand with her was Ryan from Evoke Photo and Film, preserving the memories in both photography and film.

Rev. Glynn Ferguson, owner of Sensational Ceremonies, crafted a beautiful custom wedding ceremony that highlighted Melvin and Makari’s Christian faith. The ceremony focused on their commitment to enter into a covenant relationship, creating a heartfelt and meaningful moment for the couple, their family, and their friends.

Then it was time to celebrate! Arthur’s Catering served a delicious wedding feast, and not a morsel went to waste. Iced by Taylor Desserts created a gorgeous wedding cake decorated with delicate sugar flowers that looked almost too beautiful to eat—and tasted even better.

As the evening came to a close, Melvin and Makari waved goodbye to their guests before stepping into a beautiful luxury car provided by VIP Transportation. With smiles, happy tears, and plenty of love, it was the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable Howey Mansion wedding.
