Happily Ever After in a Secret Garden: Nick and Abigail’s Orlando Wedding

Nick and Abigail flew all the way from the United Kingdom for what started as a family vacation in Orlando, Florida. But during their trip planning, they decided to make it extra special—they wanted to get married!

They reached out to Victoria at Intimate Weddings of Orlando to explore their options. At first, they were focused on venues right near Walt Disney World Resort. But then, they saw photos of the beautiful Kraft Azalea Garden in nearby Winter Park, and they instantly knew they had found their perfect wedding location.

A Hidden Romantic Gem

Kraft Azalea Garden is truly a magical spot for a romantic wedding. This secluded park features massive, towering bald cypress trees, some over 300 years old! The centerpiece is a stunning stone structure called an Exedria, which looks like it’s straight out of a fairytale.

This garden is famous in Central Florida and has been the setting for thousands of proposals and weddings over the years. It has a peaceful, elegant, and intimate feeling that Nick and Abigail knew was right for them.

Capturing Their Love Story

To make sure they could keep and share every moment, Christopher Smith with Captured by Chris was there as their dedicated wedding photographer. Chris did an amazing job, capturing photos of Abigail walking down the aisle, the emotion of their ceremony, and the all-important family pictures afterward. These pictures will be treasured memories for a lifetime.

The florals were also a key part of the romantic feel. Raining Roses created a gorgeous bouquet and matching boutonniere. Abigail’s bouquet was especially lush, made up of over 30 roses, perfectly fitting the luxurious and romantic vibe they wanted for their day.

A Love Written in Vows

The ceremony itself was made deeply personal by Rev Glynn Ferguson, the owner of Sensational Ceremonies and an official Walt Disney World wedding officiant. He worked with Nick and Abigail to create a beautiful, custom ceremony.

To make it truly unique, Rev. Glynn gave them a fun “homework assignment”: to write down why they love each other. Their answers were beautiful:

  • Nick spoke about their lives being intertwined for nearly 20 years, making it feel “meant to be.” He loves that they make each other laugh and that he can deal with her “massive Disney obsession.” He perfectly summed it up: “She is the Minnie to my Mickey.”
  • Abigail wrote about Nick coming back into her life unexpectedly and how falling in love with him was “the best choice I have ever made.” She thanked him for the strength and courage he gave her and for creating a happy, loving home for her children. She concluded that Nick truly is her Happily Ever After.

We wish Nick, Abigail, and their family a lifetime of joy and happiness!
