“Putting on the Ritz”

“Putting on the Ritz”

The Ritz Carlton Resort on Amelia Island was the perfect venue for the phenomenal wedding celebration of Katie and Alex where “putting on the Ritz” caused them to feel like a “Prince and Princess. They demonstrated their love for each other and their families by including traditional elements of their inter-faith union. In the Catholic tradition, the Mothers of the Bride and Groom lit candles at the beginning of the ceremony for a “Unity Candle.” Reverend Joy Blessing composed an original ceremony which also included a Jewish custom of “Breaking of the Glass”…with a “mazeltov” blessing after pronouncing them as husband and wife. Rev Joy Blessing officiated under the “Chuppah” which is symbolic of the home which the couple were creating through the covenant of marriage. Bride Katie’s dress was by Modern Trousseau and Flowers created by Brandee Anagnostou of the Ritz Carlton. The Ritz Carlton also provided a string quartet for ceremony music and catered the cocktail hour and gourmet meal reception.
