Karrie and Tim lived worlds apart, but true love found a way. The couple met, fell in love and decided to get married in Florida. After looking for the perfect venue, the couple chose Casa Feliz in Winter Park as the perfect destination location for their knuckles.
Monica with As You Wish Weddings and Events walked Karrie and Tim through the process of booking the venue, choosing their vendors and making sure that everything was perfect for their wedding day.
DJ PJ from Atomic Entertainment brought the tunes for the evening from 80s hits to fun music that kept the dance floor hopping into the night. He did an outstanding job.
Arthur’s Catering provided the scrumptious food for the cocktail hour and the reception. We can honestly say that no one left hungry after their dining experience.
Rev Glynn Ferguson, an Orlando wedding officiant and owner of Sensational Ceremonies, worked with Karrie and Tim to create a beautiful custom ceremony that fit them like Cinderella slipper. He gave them a homework assignment to write and tell him why they love each other.
Karrie wrote: Everything about him feels steady, genuine and deeply rooted in love. He has the best heart! He is kind, caring and always naturally and selflessly puts family first. He’s a true gentleman (he opens my car door, walks on the traffic side, all those little things – he does). He’s respectful, patient, and thoughtful in both the big moments and the quiet everyday ones. His strength is calming and his presence reassuring. He has an incredible way of making everything feel okay. He’s the most incredible role model to Jake, especially in the way he loves him, supports him, and shows up for him consistently with integrity and patience. As a stepfather (gosh it makes me love him even more), he is just so authentically protective and endlessly devoted.
Tim has a warmth that makes everyone around him feel safe and valued. Loving him feels peaceful, grounding and like home.
Tim wrote: First and foremost, I love Karrie for the extraordinary mother she is to Jake. The way she loves him, protects him, and believes in him has always touched me deeply, because it reminds me so much of the relationship I have with my own mother. I see that same strength in Karrie. She carries every responsibility with grace, determination, and an open heart. She speaks about Jake with endless pride and unwavering love, just as my mom has always spoken about me; proud not just of what we’ve accomplished, but of the men we’ve become. Beyond being an incredible mother, Karrie is one of the strongest, kindest, and most passionate souls I know. She is meticulous and principled, always choosing what is right over what is easy, even when no one is watching. even when no one is watching. Her heart is instinctively generous, I can tell you countless examples of Karrie thinking of others like passing out candy bars for random acts of kindness, or consistent communication with loved ones, she loves animals, cannot stand to hear a child cry, and will step in to help someone in need before they ever think to ask. She challenges me, supports me, and pushes me to grow every single day, both mentally and physically, simply by being who she is. I honestly would not be alive today if it was not for Karrie. And somehow, on top of all of that, she is as beautiful on the outside as she is within. I tell her every day that I love her humor, her kindness, and her beauty, and she always laughs and says I must have bad vision. But the truth is, she could have been anything, a supermodel, a movie star and still, the greatest role she plays is being herself. Karrie often says our life together feels like a movie, and I couldn’t agree more. I am the luckiest man alive, and Karrie and Jake are my home, my heart, and my whole world.
Their deeply religious ceremony included a blessing of the hands, the Lord’s prayer, and reading readings for the books of Genesis and Ruth
Petals floral did an amazing job with a very simple floral arrangements down the aisle and the stunningly beautiful bouquet that Karrie walked with on her way down the aisle
Dawn with Corner House Photography worked her photography magic to make sure that every detail was captured for their wedding day. From individual photos of the bride and a bridesmaids and the groom and his groomsmen to the shots during the ceremony and formal photographs afterwards dawned did an amazing job.
