Chris and Kelly
Chris and Kelly live in Ontario, Canada and chose the beautiful Resort at Longboat Key Club as the venue for their destination wedding ceremony and reception in mid-May.
Secluded on a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico, The Resort at Longboat Key Club is a AAA Four-Diamond destination that spans 410 acres of lush lawns and pristine beachfront with authentic Old Florida boardwalks. Just a short drive from the upscale shopping, museums, and theaters in downtown Sarasota, guests can unwind in one of 226 luxury guest rooms and suites, the perfect setting for family vacations, romantic getaways and guests looking for a tropical escape. Amenities also include access to the resort’s five distinctive restaurants and lounges, along with forty-five holes of championship golf, award-winning Tennis Gardens, a full-service spa, and an array of water sport equipment. Weddings at The Resort at Longboat Key Club will be nothing short of spectacular. From dramatic themes to serene beach settings, the ceremony and reception will be customized down to the smallest detail, transforming each bride and groom’s vision into reality. Ceremony sites can be one of the elegant indoor venues, or a beach location.
Kelly looked amazing as she was escorted across the sand by her father to join Chris in front of their wedding arch on the beach. The couple’s custom designed ceremony included a scripture reading from the Bible Book of Ruth, a Thank You to the Parents, special readings: The Art of Marriage and Union and The Knot Tying Ceremony. Then, in front of their family and friends, and with an amazing view of The Gulf of America as their backdrop, the couple shared their own personal vows, exchanged rings, and were pronounced husband and wife by Rev Rick Lackore, a Longboat Key Wedding Officiant with Sensational Ceremonies.
Florals and Décor were provided by Beneva Flowers, Venue Coordination by Milu and the staff at The Resort at Longboat Key Club, and Wedding and Event Coordination by Nicole with Swanky Soiree. Special thanks to Justin DeMutiis Photography for providing this beautiful picture during the ceremony.
