Kristie and Michael met in high school and dated for a while but after high school, they went their separate ways, got married, and built families. After both of them faced the pains of divorce, they finally found one another again, and rekindled the love that they previously shared.
The years had passed Kristie and Michael realize that they were meant to be together and so they decided to elope while on a family vacation to Orlando Florida. The couple contacted Victoria with Intimate Weddings of Orlando and she helped them to put together a beautiful intimate elopement package that fit the two of them and their small family perfectly.
Edmond with Rhodes Studios photo and video made sure to capture every moment of Kristie and Michael‘s wedding day. Through the beautiful ceremony that included their five daughters, a sand ceremony, and blended family vows and into formal portraits afterwards.It was absolutely breathtaking!
Rev Glynn Ferguson, the owner of Sensational Ceremonies and one of the official Walt Disney World wedding officiants, he worked closely with the two of them to create a beautiful custom ceremony that fit the two of them like a glove. He gave the two of them a homework assignment to write and tell him why they love each other
Kristie wrote: It’s difficult to put into one paragraph what I love about you, Michael so I will try my best to keep it short and sweet.
I love that you are everything that is good in this world. Kind, patient, devoted, hard working, loving and strong are just a few of the words that come to my mind when I think about who you are. But what I love most of all, is watching you as a father to our five beautiful girls we are privileged to share together. You provide each one of them with such a strong example of what to expect in a partner one day. You are without a doubt the glue to our family. From fixing everything we need whether it’s cars, fences, hot tubs, pools, toys, jewelry, or boo boos, to cooking our dinners, building us gourmet kitchens and cozy basements, to somehow always having a bandaid or hair tie on demand, you’re our guy. It’s no wonder I’ve had a crush on you since high school. You’ve proven that true love really does exist. Just not in my timing but in God’s because His timing is perfect. I love that over the last almost five years we have learned that our biggest strength is each other. Every mountain we climb, we climb together and always come up much much stronger. I love that you are my best friend and I love that my soul has known yours forever. I will be waiting for you in every lifetime.
Michael wrote: Kristie made possible what I thought was impossible. I don’t think I ever truly believed there was a soulmate out there, I was a pragmatic, idealist with the notion that marriage was nothing more than a wise decision for stability. The science is out! you live longer, you’re more financially stable, and you’re never lonely. Society says it’s right, so you settle down, settle in, just settle. But settling was so unsettling, so unfulfilling, so compromising, so transactional, so confining. I would never do it again, I exclaimed, it’s so unrealistic. And in my pessimism, in my brokenness, I found Kristie, the one person who I can’t wait to run back to, talk to, laugh with, grow with, and dream life’s dreams with. Someone who is the cliche, my bestfriend. I thought my best friend was always going to be my childhood buddy but to my surprise and joy is actually a woman named Kristie!! She patiently brought my guard down, has brought back my smile, my warmth, my joy, my inner child, my hopes and dreams and now instead of my dreams being by myself all I can ever picture is her by my side finding life’s next adventure forever and ever. Kristie is tenacious and loves with all of her being as a mother and as my partner. She’s wise and thoughtful, but always makes time for joy and laughter. In times of life’s strife she is tactful and helps steer the course, reminding us of our worth, strength and duties. Her presence is a force that moves all those around her to strive, just by her example, and I am better because of her and want to be better for her every day for the rest of my life. I’ve found true unwavering love only paralleled by the birth of a child that now I know and exult exists!
Kristie and Michael utilize the talented team at Married By Mail to get their Florida marriage license for them long before they ever arrived for their elopement.
For their beautiful bouquet and boutonniere, Atmospheres Floral and Decor did an Amazing job of pulling together the delicate pink roses, that really took our breath away.
We want to waste this beautiful family. They’re very un happily ever after we are so glad that God brought the two of you back together again to bring your blended family together as one.
